Vlogger Ivana Alawi said that she is willing and ready to face any cases that will be filed against her for the ‘pulubi’ prank she did recently.
Ivana pretended to be a beggar and went to the streets to find good samaritans.
People who helped Ivana were rewarded generously – one thousand pesos for every peso they gave Ivana. Tatay Joselito Martinez, a kutsinta vendor was one of those who were rewarded as he gave Ivana 20 pesos and Ivana in return rewarded him with PhP 20,000 pesos.
According to some netizens, Ivana violated the Anti-Mendicancy Law which prohibits begging or soliciting charitable donations by the poor and other religious organizations on the streets. Giving alms to beggars is also prohibited by law.
On her recent vlog entry titled “”Filipino Breakfast Mukbang +Diamond Button,” Ivana was asked to give her reaction to reports that she might be sued for what she did.
“Kung may nalabag akong batas, edi kasuhan na lang nila ako, haharapin ko yun, lalaban ako ‘di ba!” said Ivana.
“Kasi para sa akin, I didn’t do anything wrong! Ang intensyon ko is just to help out and to inspire people” Ivana added.
“Wala akong tinapakan na tao, wala akong nasaktan na tao and masaya ako sa video and I will do ito again!” Ivana said.
