Claudine wrote in the post’s caption: “Oh my! What happened? Why did you TAG YOURSELF Marjorie? Tsk tsk🙃 don’t worry I drank my meds. So should you. Mock me all you want BUT NOT PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS. don’t your children see a psychiatrist? #stopthestigmamentalillness #mentalillnessisnotajoke @marjbarretto”
Iwa commented on Claudine’s post and expressed dismay over people making fun of those dealing with mental illness and wrote: “Mental illness being used to mock people is so wrong. Having a mental illness is hard!!!!”
After receiving backlash from netizens, Iwa defended herself from bashers accusing her of meddling with the family feud, saying: “Oh my this is going out of hand. All i said is mocking someone with mental illness is wrong. Kahit ano para rason ng kahit sino. I am not taking sides or anything. People with mental illness is struggling and hurting already. If someone is making fun of it FOR ME mali yun. Iba iba tayo ng utak. I just said my piece.
“Ganito lang yan… what if you see someone with physical disability, would you make fun of them??? Mental illness is not different. You just dont see it pero ang hirap hirap din nun. I hope i made myself clear. Di din ako nakikisawsaw ah. I just feel ate @claubarretto ‘s pain. Especially that comment came from her sister. Double pain yun.”
