Kapamilya star Iza Calzado expressed that she is grateful to GMA and ABS-CBN over the success of her career.
In an episode of “#LivewithG3” with movie and television writer G3 San Diego, she featured Iza for an interview. During the interview, Iza talked about her showbiz career. G3 also praised Iza as she had a successful career both in GMA and ABS-CBN.
“10 years for both ABS-CBN and GMA actually. It’ll be my 10th year with ABS-CBN this January…” Iza shared.
“Very very few actresses have had success in both networks. Parang top of mind, ikaw yun, so how do you feel about that?” G3 asked Iza.
“Hmm Angel also, Toni, I mean I’m just thinking at the top of my head… Wow! Never thought of it that way. I’m just so grateful to still be here you know G3. I don’t think about, ‘oh I’ve been successful for like 10 years and another 10 years’. I don’t think about it that way. I’m just grateful to still be here and still be, I guess hungry… because I feel like I’m at a halfway point… I feel like there’s still so much to do and so much learning and growing to do….” Iza shared.
“I’m celebrating my 20th year in the industry next year… I’m just really grateful. When I think about it, and grateful for both networks. I always say thank you to, specially the bosses that you know, kasi dun ako lumaki eh, sa GMA. Kumbaga nanay ko yung mga naging producer ko duon… I always express my gratitude kasi if they didn’t believe in me then, I wouldn’t be where I am now…”
“The same also goes, sila Inang. Kasi I did my first film naman with Star Cinema, so parang… parang sila din tumaya saakin. Actually parehong tumaya saakin in the beginning of my career naman… That’s part of my journey. And now I’m with ABS-CBN and I’m very very fortunate to be given, I guess, really good material… My heart is just filled with gratitude…” Iza added.
