Tiktok Duo Chuck Aquino and Joe Abad, known as Chuck and Joe, issued an apology over their viral TikTok condiment “prank”. It was recalled that the duo were criticized by netizens as well as members of the local restaurant community, Restaurant Owners of the Philippines (Resto PH) over the said viral video.
The duo issued an apology through a short video as Joe said “guys and dame na po nameng narereceive na negative comments sa video na to. So gusto lang po namen linawin na hindi po namen kayo ineencourage na magnakaw. Kundi ineencourage po namen kayo na wag mag tapon at wag mag saying.”

Chuch added “actually hindi nga po siya considered na pagnanakaw or stealing. Dahil wala naman po kameng inuwe na hindi po binigay saamen. Everytime po na kakaen kame sa restaurant na yun, binibigyan po nila kame ng togarashi spies dahil hindi na po pwedeng kumuha ng condiments duon sa condiment section due to safety protocols. Hindi po namen nauubos yung binibigay nila samen so nakakahinayang.”
Joe also clarified the issue as he said “pwede naman po talagang itakeout yun pero it wouldn’t be as funny as kung ipapatakeout po namen siya gamit po yung kanilang lalagyan. And that was part of the humor na hindi po na gets ng iba.”
“Ganunpaman humihingi po kame ng pasensiya kung hindi po naging malinaw yung humor po ng video namin na naging dahilan po upang masaktan at ma offend po yung iba.” Joe added.
Chuck also added “we are very sorry. Hindi po yun ang intention namen.”
Sobrang kacheapan yung TikTokers nagdala ng jar at nag-uwi ng togarashi powder from a restaurant ha, yikes.
