Juan Karlos Labajo calls out ‘Idol Philippines’ judges who rejected Luke Baylon: “HUGE shame”

Artist Juan Karlos Labajo called out the ‘other judges’ of Kapamilya singing competition “Idol Philippines” who rejected the audition of contestant Luke Baylon.

Luke, who did a reggae version of Alicia Keys’ ‘If I Ain’t Got You’, earned three ‘no’ votes from judges Moira Dela Torre, Vice Ganda, and James Reid, while Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez was the only judge who gave him a ‘yes’ vote.

In his Instagram stories, Juan Karlos expressed his dismay over the judges who turned down Luke, saying: “it’s a yes for me. i’m not even gonna argue with the other judges. it’s easy to fix flats and sharps and such imperfections but it’s not that easy to find soul.”

“i just found out that the guy who got rejected at idol ph is the same guy who did an amazing reggae version of my song buwan. HUGE shame on the other ‘judges’ for not seeing this guy’s potential. what a shame. such a shame. i’m ashamed,” Juan Karlos added.
