Leyte 4th District Congressman Richard Gomez and Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez are beaming with pride as their daughter Juliana Ma. Beatrice T. Gomez has graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines.
On Instagram, Richard posted a video with the following caption:
“I vividly remember your first day in school as a young child. I drove you to your school near the house, you were in a white shirt and jeans in rubber shoes.
Look at you now all grown up and a college graduate in Public Administration at the UP Diliman and a Cum Laude.
Congratulations ‘day!
Mom and I are so proud of you.
Mom was in tears going up the stage. My eyes were in tears too when I went back to my seat as things sank into my head and realized how time flies so fast.
Go on and make things better and beautiful.”
On the other hand, Lucy congratulated Juliana and posted the following:
“The sight of you last night, all grown up and graduating from U.P., made me all weepy. I love you and am endlessly and wonderfully proud of you, my little love. You have worked so hard, but also so quietly. As you always do. Shine on. The best is yet to come.”
For her part, Juliana posted the following on her Instagram:
“Isang karangalan ang maging Iskolar-Atleta ng Bayan. Maraming salamat sa pagkakataon na ito, UP! Mahal na mahal kita.”
Netizens also congratulated Juliana for her latest achievement:
