Kara David proud of Mangyan scholar who is now a licensed teacher

Kapuso journalist Kara David shared her proud moment after one of the scholars of her Project Malasakit passed the Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET).

In her Instagram post, Kara shared how her scholar Patrick Reyes, a member of the Mangyan tribe she met in Mindoro Oriental, is set to fulfill his dream of becoming a teacher to help his community after passing the LET.

I met Patrick many years ago when i did a documentary on the indigenous peoples of Mindoro, the Mangyan tribe. Patrick comes from a very poor Mangyan family.
