“It’s Showtime” host Kim Chiu can’t help but be emotional after facing a contestant of the show’s segment “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” who supported and said “Yes” to the shutdown of ABS-CBN.
During the said episode of “It’s Showtime”, one contestant of “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” named Kaloy Villaver received criticisms from netizens as he supported the shutting down of ABS-CBN.
Vice Ganda asked Kaloy “anong feeling ng ano na, nandito ka ngayon sa entablado ng studio ng network na minsan mong ipinanalangin na ipasara. Anong pakiramdam mo?” To which Kaloy said “nahihiya po ako actually. I gotta be honest. Sobrang hiya po ako sa ginawa ko.”
“if I would be given the chance, this chance to apologize for everybody. You, siyempre eto kababayan ko po and everybody here who gave me a chance na marinig yung story ko. My story of change, my story of hope. I would like to thank and apologize to everybody. On behalf of the people who did the same thing.” said Kaloy.
And on behalf of my family or I wouldn’t say on behalf of my family kasi ako lang din po yung sobrang ma post sa ganun, maboka sa ganun, ma opinionated sa ganun. And I would like to apologize to you guys.” Kaloy added.
Kim can’t help but cry as she said “alam mo ma, hindi lang naman si Kaloy yung isa sa mga nabigyan ng pagkakataon na pinapasok ulet naten dito sa kapamilya channel na nag “Yes” to ABS shutdown… Naiiyak ako, ganito pala yung feeling kapag…..”
Vice later on continued “kaharap mo yung diba, naiintindihan kita kasi ako rin kanina, iniisip ko ‘pano kaya kakausapin toh?’ diba, parang pano kaya tayo magiging professional pag kinausap naten yung tahasang nagsabing ‘Yes, sana mag sara kayo ABS-CBN’. Pano kaya naten kakausapin yung taong nag wish na mawalan ng trabaho yung marami nateng kapamilya.”
