TV broadcaster Korina Sanchez was criticized for posting a photo of Senator Manny Pacquiao eating with his bare hands. Some netizens accused Pacquiao of politicking. Some said the photo is an old tactic or ways of politicians to show that they are simple and ‘makamasa’.
One basher posted the following in reaction to the said photo:
“Kung tatakbo siyang Presidente, dapat pgsabihan nya si Jingkee na hinay hinay lang pgsosoot ng mamahaling bagay.” “
Baka sabihin ng botante another Imelda Marcos. Kahit sabihin natin na galing nman sa pgboboxing ni Manny ang pera nila,” posted the netizen.
Korina took notice of this comment and replied:
“Ako naman bakit ako magpapanggap na cannot afford eh nagpapabugbog ako ng mukha at marangal ang kita ko? Huwayy will I pretend?”
