People affected by the Taal Volcano eruption last Sunday (January 12, 2020) vacated their residences leaving behind their belongings and pet animals like dogs, cat, horses, and others. Photos of animals covered by ashes went viral on social media.
TV host and broadcaster Korina Sanchez made it her mission to rescue the animals left behind and provide them a better place to stay.
“Who are the owners of these poor animals in Taal, abandoned in the face of danger? We pray for the animals safety. We pray harder for the humans, that all our hearts be struck with God’s compassion to make an effort to save these helpless and voiceless ones from suffering.”
