‘Crazy Rich Asians’ has been a success after earning $35.5M 5 days after its Hollywood premiere but Queen of All Media Kris Aquino could not help but feel anxious despite the film’s performance.
In her Instagram post, Kris admitted how she feared of becoming a “laughingstock” over her portrayal in the film after learning about the movie’s box office performance.

She wrote: “When @crazyrichasians became the #1 movie in the ??, that Monday night (August 20) after reading it earned $35.5M in the 5 days since Aug 15, i was so stressed & anxious that my BP was at hypertensive crisis level. There was FEAR that if it did poorly here, i’d be the logical punching bag & laughingstock.”
Despite her fear, Kris looked at the brighter side and thanked the people who have supported the film.
