In the comments section, Kris Aquino reacted to Mariel’s post and expressed her regret for not inviting her in a thanksgiving celebration when her brother Noynoy Aquino became president.
Kris wrote: “Hi Ma… it’s those human gestures of saying THANK YOU that matter… Nahiya ako that hindi ka na invite for a proper thank you celebration (i am keeping my fingers crossed at some point you did receive flowers?) On a side note- may funny kwento ako- there was a lunch for an ASEAN head of state- and invitation said business attire. Napagalitan ako because i think i wore a skin baring outfit- nasabihan ako na, didn’t you read na “business attire”? i said yes, in our industry ito ang business attire. so don’t sweat it- i broke that sleeveless rule countless times- nag backless, nag halter, nag plunging. ?”
It can be remembered that Mariel was one of the celebrities who campaigned for Noynoy last 2010 elections.
Mariel then responded to Kris’ comment in her post and wrote: “@krisaquino hi ate!!! No I didn’t receive flowers maybe because i was married na hehehe but my friendship with you is more than enough ❤️ hehehe bawal pala skin baring ?”
