Actress Kristine Hermosa shared what she felt when her husband, actor Oyo Sotto proposed to her despite the fact that they are not in a relationship.
In the latest episode of actress and TV host Toni Gonzaga’s ‘Toni Talks’ on her YouTube channel, she featured Kristine and Oyo for an interview. During the interview, Kristine and Oyo talked about their relationship. The celebrity couple also recalled the time when Oyo unexpectedly proposed to Kristine on her birthday during their bible study despite that they are not in a relationship.
“One day it hit me, parang, hindi ko alam eh basta isang araw nagising ako malapit ng mag birthday niya nun, parang may bumulong saakin, ‘mag propose ka na’. So parang sabi ko, ‘sige mag po-propose na ako’. Pero nung time na yun, nagpapagawa na ako ng engagement ring niya…” Oyo shared.
Oyo also narrated how surprised her colleagues in a bible study when he told them that he is going to propose to Kristine. Oyo shared that his marriage proposal to Kristine is ‘very unplanned’ and ‘very raw’.
During the proposal, Kristine was so surprised and she walked out.
“Lumuhod ako, nilabas ko yung singsing sabi ko ‘will you marry me’. So lahat nuong ano, yung mga kaibigan naming anduon tsaka mga pinsan ko sigawan. Ito (Kristine) umalis, grabe tumakbo sa likod…” Oyo shared.
According to Kristine, she got frightened and nervous at the same time.
“Natakot ako, kinabahan talaga ako. Sabi ko, ‘ha? Ano ‘to’… Tumakbo ako, nagtago ako sa likod ng bahay ni Danica, nagdasal ako… nagdasal talaga ako sabi ko, ‘lord ano ‘to? Bakit ganito? Hindi naman kami ah. Bakit siya nag popropose?’. Sabi ko, ‘God this is urgent’…” Kristine shared.
Oyo shared that he was still kneeling at that time while waiting for Kristine.
“Seryoso nanginginig ako nuon. As in ang lamig ng buong kamay ko, paa ko. Sabi ko sige lakasan ng luob. So kinompose ko yung sarili ko, bumalik ako. Sabi ko, ‘Sige, Yes’.” Kristine shared.
“Sobrang kakaiba ‘to ha…” Kristine added.
Kristine shared that looking back, it was one of the ‘best decision’ that she made on her life. Kristine also shared that she has no regrets.
