The imposition of community quarantines as well as the increase in military presence across the nation, as a response to the rising COVID-19 threat, have been met with mixed opinions. While some would prefer a more medical-oriented response to the threat, others believe that the military can help enforce peace, order, and the frontline responses of medical professionals.
As of writing, the coronavirus has infected 140 people around the country, with twelve deaths. Filipinos are advised to stay inside and avoid crowded places.
