Actress and television star Maine Mendoza has started an online fund-raising campaign, which she has named the “DoNation Drive,” for the workers and employees who cannot work because of the community lockdown to prevent the COVID-19 virus from spreading.
The actress shared her cause on Twitter, yesterday, March 19, and in the link that she sent, Mendoza explains her inspiration for the DoNation Drive, and that she may be contacted for those in need of assistance, and for those who want to contribute to her cause. Mendza further instigated that she will be sending P1,000 to every affected household to cover or aid in the expense for their necessities.

“I know how hard it is for these people nowadays to sustain their living so I decided to share as much as I can to them,” Mendoza writes in her official campaign.
Her post was met with a wave of positive feedback, as she shared, “I am overwhelmed with all the emails and notifications from everyone.” The actress has since been continuing with her drive.
