Presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquiao assured the public that his wife Jinkee Pacquiao will not be like former First Lady Imelda Marcos if in case he gets elected as president in 2022.
Pacquiao described his wife as somebody who is more interested in charity works and helping the poor.
In a report published by reportr.world, when asked if Jinkee will indulge in expensive things, Pacquiao said: “”Tinitiyak ko yan. Kilala ko yung asawa ko, hindi siya ganun.”
“Ang gusto ng asawa ko, magserbisyo, tumulong sa mga kababaihan at lalong-lalo na yung mga mahihirap. Gusto niya yung pagbibigay ng scholarship, pagbibigay ng housing sa mga pamilya at yung sustainable livelihood. Gusto niya yung mga charity work,” Pacquiao added.
Imelda Marcos is known for her extravagant lifestyle as characterized by her collection of shoes and jewelries. This is the reason why people expressed their concern if Jinkee will be the next Imelda because of her fondness with branded things as seen in her social media photos.
