The world mourns as NBA legend and superstar Kobe Bryant succumbed to an untimely death in a helicopter crashed last Sunday, 26th of January, 2020 in Calabasas, Los Angeles. The fatal incident sadly involves his second daughter, Gianna.
Many sports celebrities have expressed their deep sorrows on their social media accounts and that includes Filipino Boxing World Champion and Senator Manny Pacquiao.
On his Instagram post a day after basketball’s Black Mamba’s passing, Manny shared a photo of him and the late player while shaking hands with a caption that says,
“The world lost a legend today but the impact and legacy he leaves behind will last forever! #RIPMamba”
More than 300,000 people reacted on it and some expressed their heartfelt grief on the unfortunate incident. One surprising comment from a follower l.a.jeff “Try your best everyday not to leave us Manny ❤”This simply shows how sports fans value their idols very much.
Aside from the fact that these two legends have met each other in their lifetime, it is also known fact that Manny Pacquiao is a basketball enthusiast who formed his own basketball league in the country.
