Diamond star Maricel Soriano expressed her willingness to be Angel Locsin and Neil Arce’s ‘ninang’ for their upcoming wedding as the couple announced their engagement earlier this year.
In her interview with ABS-CBN News, Maricel confirmed her attendance at Angel’s wedding whether as a guest or as one of the sponsors and wished the couple happiness.

Maricel said: “Mahal ko si Angel ‘no. Kahit sponsor, guest, whatever, I will be there for Angel.”
“I want Angel and Neil to be happy. They’re good friends of mine and I see them naman very sweet. I just want them to be happy, especially Angel. She deserves to be happy,” she added.
Maricel also shared one of her conversations with Angel about settling down, saying: “Sinabi ko na sa kanya, ‘Sweetheart, there’s nothing like being happy all the time.’ It’s so hard to maintain happiness, ‘yung nandiyan lagi ‘yung happiness. Actually, andiyan lang talaga and you just have to, kumbaga sa mga trees, hawiin mo lang andiyan lang siya. Ganyan lang ‘yan.”
Maricel and Angel worked together in the defunct Kapamilya series ‘The General’s Daughter’.
