TV host and vlogger Mariel Padilla shared that she has ‘no regrets’ on giving up her career for her husband, actor and senatorial aspirant Robin Padilla and their adorable daughters, Isabella and Gabriella.
In the latest YouTube vlog of talent manager and broadcaster Ogie Diaz, he featured Mariel for an interview.
During the interview, Ogie asked, “Yung iba, katulad naming mga taga media, ako mismo nabasa ko kung gaano mo kamahal si Robin kasi ginive-up mo yung career mo para maging may bahay ni Robin at para tumutok sa dalawa niyong anak.”
“I feel yes, it was a choice I made for my family. So there’s no regret. Because, feeling ko lang naman, pagdating ng panahon na matatanda yung kids ko, actually hindi ko nga kino-consider yung self ko na parang “artista” ngayon. Kasi hindi naman ako nag a-artista…” Mariel shared.
“Hosting?” Ogie quipped.
“Hindi din, minsan, pero hindi ko na iniisip yung sarili ko na nag a-artista. I’m a vlogger, ganyan, I’m an online seller, I’m a tindera, nagbebenta ako ng steak. Ang tag line ko nga, sa umaga nagbebenta ako ng laman, sa gabi nagbebenta ako ng balat… I can do all of that in my house. And I can watch my kids grow up. I’m there every time they fall, every time they cry when they wake up.” Mariel said.
“And that’s a blessing, that’s a gift. Not everyone can do that. So for me, it’s such a big thing na I can watch my kids grow up. So no, I don’t have regrets. Do I miss it? Sometimes I do… pero feeling ko naman pag malaki na yung kids ko and makabalik ako, magagawa ko parin yun. Iba na nga lang.”
“Pero that’s okay because I had my time that I was able to do it all…” Mariel added.
