Actor Matteo Guidicelli has officially become a second lieutenant of the Philippine Army after President Rodrigo Duterte signed his papers allowing him to move up from his probationary second lieutenant rank.
In photos shared on Twitter, present during the “donning of the ranks” ceremony at the Philippine Army headquarters in Taguig was Matteo’s girlfriend Sarah Geronimo whom he chose to do the pin for him instead of a family member.

It can be remembered that Metteo joined the Philippine Army as a reservist last April and later underwent a 30-day scout ranger training in Camp Tecson in Bulacan.
During his graduation last June, Sarah was also present to witness Matteo’s acceptance of his recognition after obtaining the highest grade of 95.20% among 97 students in the class.
Matteo also received a military commendation medal for his volunteerism initiative in clean up drives in some schools in San Miguel, for leading the distribution of school supplies, and for being an inspiration to the youth.
Prior to joining the military, Matteo also joined the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary together with Erwan Heussaff and Nico Bolzico.
