Manila Mayor Isko Moreno announced that the Manila City Government donated P1 million each to Catanduanes and Camarines Sur as financial assistance after the two provinces were hardly hit by the super typhoon, Rolly.
In his Twitter account, Mayor Isko posted photos of the two checks addressed to the two provinces, Catanduanes and Camarines Sur.

He also expressed his gratitude to those who donated as he tweeted “Maraming salamat po sa mga kababayan natin na taga Lungsod ng Maynila, private individuals at corporations, na tumugon sa sa panawagan natin na tumulong sa mga sinalanta ng Bagyong Rolly.”

Mayor Isko added “Kinausap natin kanina sina Catanduanes governor Joseph Cua at Camarines Sur congressman LRay Villafuerte. Ipinaabot natin ang tulong na:

Nauna rito, tayo ay nagpadala ng isang libong bigas para sa Albay.”
