Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno has announced the suspension of classes in ALL LEVELS from March 9 to 15 because of the increases number of reported COVID-19 cases. He asked the students to take the matter seriously and limit their public activities. He also advised everyone to stay at home and be vigilant at all times.
According to the Mayor, the DOH Sec. Duque and Manila City’s team of medical experts advised him that he does not need to suspend classes because the situation is still in Code Red or Sublevel 1 which means that it is a preemptive call to ensure national and local government, public and private healthcare providers can prepare for the increase in the number of cases.
