The question on whether Manila Mayor Isko Moreno will run for the presidency come 2022 is one topic that a lot of people are talking about. Will he or will he not consider the highest office of the land?
In an online forum at Far Eastern University (FEU), one student came forward and asked the mayor if he is considering to run for the presidency.
“Lahat kaming mga pulitiko—the moment isinawsaw namin ang mga paa namin sa putik ng pulitika, or sa kalsada ng pulitika—lahat kami, at the back of our minds, is to get to the highest position,” admitted Mayor Moreno.
The name of Mayor Moreno has been figuring in surveys for the presidency.
“To all people who answered the surveys, and making me as an option or an alternative, there is time for that. I will confront it. Hindi ko gagawin yung kunwari ayaw pero gusto, nabili na yun, e. Hindi ko kayo ilalagay sa waiting game” added the mayor.
“I will think it over, over and over and over,” Mayor Moreno said.
