Miel Pangilinan, daughter of singer actress Sharon Cuneta and former Senator Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan gave her reaction to a netizen who commented on her video and advice Miel to stop eating rice.
The netizen posted the following:
“Youre so beautiful miel but stop eating rice please..”
This got the attention of Miel and she replied:
“This comment was very unnecessary and unwarranted… it’s pretty offensive. The thing is, right, I don’t know you, you don’t know me.” started Miel.
“And no matter how much of my content you consume, it does not give you the right, or the knowledge of what’s actually going on with my life for you to make this kind of comment, unless you were my parent, my sibling, or any kind of close friend.” Miel added.
“You do not make that kind of message for somebody on the Internet. And I just want to get this out there coz there’s so many comments from people being worried about me, worried about my health, and it feels condescending and I’m very, very tired of it, I’m sorry…” Miel said.
“The thing is, I don’t need this kind of concern from you because I have my own parents, and my own siblings, and my own nutritionist properly looking out for me and my health.” Miel added.
“This is just not something that needs to be given like public input. Just because I am online, just because I make content online, it does not give you the right to overstep your boundaries and stick your nose in other people’s business.” Miel quips.
