Miss Earth Canada shares alleged sexual harassment experience in PH during pageant

Miss Earth Canada Jaime VandenBerg revealed in an Instagram post that she allegedly experienced being sexually harassed by a pageant sponsor during this year’s Miss Earth hosted by the Philippines.

In her social media post, Miss Canada shared how she left the pageant because she “did not feel safe under their care” after her alleged unfortunate experience.

She wrote: “I left to compete at an international pageant in the Philippines about a month ago. I was so excited because I had been to the Philippines before and loved the country and the people; however, the experience with the pageant was not what I had expected. I left Miss Earth because I did not feel safe under their care.”

According to her, the said pageant sponsor was able to get her number without her consent and called her, asking for her hotel and room number.

She also revealed that the sponsor asked for sexual favors in exchange of getting her further to the pageant.
