Before being appointed as OWWA deputy executive director, Mocha served as the assistant secretary at the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) but later resigned last October 2018, saying it was her “sacrifice” for the immediate approval of the P1.47-billion proposed budget of the office.
While serving as the PCOO assistant secretary, Mocha was tagged in several controversy including her alleged dissemination of false information online. She also received backlash after posting a video with her blogger friend Drew Olivar about federalism which many found racy, and another video supposedly doing sign language which apparently gained negative reaction from netizens.
Mocha also filed her candidacy as party-list AA-Kasosyo’s representative. however, the group lost in the May midterm elections.
