Broadcaster Mon Tulfo has been re-appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as his special envoy for public diplomacy to China.
In a released document signed by President Duterte, Tulfo was given another six months to serve in the position after previously taking over last October 2018 amid the country’s dispute with China over the South China Sea and Chinese workers in the country.

Earlier this year, Tulfo made it to the headlines after making a remark about Filipino workers whom he compared to Chinese workers.
He said in an interview: “Alam mo bakit nila preferred, ‘yung mga developers, ‘yung mga Chinese worker? Masipag.
