Actress Nadine Lustre took home her third Best Actress award as she was recognized at the recently held Gawad Urian for her movie “Never Not Love you”, following her two other recognition from FAMAS and Young Critics Circle.
Nadine bested other nominees such as Anne Curtis, Ai Ai Delas Alas, Bela Padilla, Glaiza De Castro, Pokwang, Celeste Legaspi, Iyah Mina, Maribeth Panglayan, and Perla Bautista.
In her Instagram post, Nadine opened up about her struggles when it comes to her career and personal life and how her recent recognition has helped her see her purpose more clearly.
She wrote: “My journey has never been easy.
For years, It felt like I was mindlessly walking on a dark misty road, with a heart full of doubt and hopelessness.
Hard to believe that a person like me has so much self-doubt.
I was afraid of failure, too.
Big dreams, I almost abandoned because of fear.
Us, people, are naturally allergic to negatives that might occur in our lives.
Me, I f hated them, too; until I was told a very valuable lesson in life.
How do you know how good days are like if you have never had bad days?
One cannot identify happiness without knowing sadness.
If you haven’t failed your whole life, you wouldn’t know the feeling of sweet success.
White cannot exist without black as to positive cannot exist without negative.”
