NBI reports Mayor Vico Sotto subject for investigation for violating Section 6a of the Bayanihan To Heal As One Act, which penalizes “LGU officials disobeying national government policies or directives in imposing quarantines.” However, NBI spokesperson Ferdinand Lavin claimed Mayor Sotto was given an opportunity to defend himself of the violation.
Rooting this violation Mayor Sotto was reportedly allowed tricycle drivers to operate despite a transportation ban during the quarantine,

Asked why the NBI is not investigating coronavirus positive Senator Koko Pimentel for breaching his quarantine, the NBI said the President's orders was to investigate local government officials who are on the ground implementing the enhanced community quarantine @PhilippineStar

Suspicions and speculations grew as Sen. Koko Pimentel was spared of investigation for breaching his quarantine after being tested positive with COVID-19. In defense of NBI, it is within the presidential order to investigate the local government officials who are on the ground implementing the enhanced community quarantine.
