The 2019 Southeast Asian Games hosted by the Philippines has been drawing flak not only from netizens but also from athletes themselves because of “lack of preparation” and fails which have since become a trending topic online.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, PH Women’s Football team coach Let Dimzon revealed that she and her team were given kikiam, egg, and rice meal for breakfast.

Malaysia’s coach Joceph Jacob also addressed his concern regarding the food served, saying: “Today, my breakfast, most of the players eat only bread and some egg. We have a big tournament, I hope they will improve the food.”
Meanwhile, SEA Games organizers Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) earlier apologized over the “inconvenience” and “confusion” regarding hotel arrangements and transportation which affected representatives from Timor-Leste, Myanmar, and Cambodia.
Part of PHISGOC’s statement says: “While PHISGOC strives to ensure proper coordination of the arrival details, airport welcome, and transportation provisions of all international teams to their respective assigned hotels, we acknowledge our shortcomings in this particular incident and vow to do better.”
