President Rodrigo Duterte said he is retiring from politics and will no longer run for the Vice President post in the coming 2022 election.
“In obedience to the will of the people, I now say to my countrymen, I will follow what you want. Today, I announce my retirement from politics,” The President said.
The President made the announcement as he accompanied Senator Christopher “Bong” Go in filing his certificate of candidacy (COC) for the vice presidency.
