The Sandiganbayan 7th Division found former Quezon City mayor Herbert “Bistek” Bautista and his former city administrator Aldrin Cuña guilty of graft over a PHP 32 million 2019 contract for an Online Occupational Permitting and Tracking System (OOPTS).
The court sentenced each to six to ten years in prison and perpetually disqualified them from holding any public office. The legal counsels of Bautista said they will file a motion of reconsideration.
Bautista served as Quezon City mayor for three consecutive terms from 2010 to 2019.
