Senator Bong Revilla has confirmed that he, alongside Senators Win Gatchalian and Sonny Angara, have committed to self-quarantining themselves after their close exposure to a confirmed coronavirus patient.
While all three senators have not displayed symptoms of the virus so far, this precautionary measure is intended to ensure that they are not carriers of the disease or future victims.

“Kahapon, inanunsyo ni Sen. Win Gatchalian na siya ay magvo-voluntary quarantine dahil nakasalamuha niya ang isang resource person sa kanyang hearing noong March 5 na napag-alamang positive sa COVID-19.” he begins.
(Yesterday, Senator Win Gatchalian announced that he is voluntarily undergoing quarantine because he socialized with a person present in the hearing last March 5, who was confirmed to be positive for COVID-19.)
Senator Revilla continues to explain that he is constantly in close proximity with Senator Gatchalian, as they are seatmates in the Senate. Apart from the Session conducted last Monday, March 9, they were both in close contact with Senator Sonny Angara and Mayor Sara Duterte—both of whom are also self-quarantined at present.
“Sa panahong ito, mahalaga na maging self-aware hindi lang para sa sarili kundi para rin sa kapwa.”
(During this time, it is important to be self-aware; not just for ourselves but also for our fellow countrypeople.)
Maging malinis tayo sa ating mga sarili at paligid. As long as we don’t get overcome by panic, we will calmly beat this trial together.
