Megastar Sharon Cuneta gave an advice to her daughter, singer Frankie Pangilinan if ever she thought of entering politics in the future.
In her latest YouTube vlog, Sharon featured her husband, vice presidential aspirant Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and their kids, Frankie, Miel and Miguel as they answered several questions from the netizens. During the vlog, Frankie was asked if she has plans to enter the world of politics in the future.
“Honestly no, I don’t have plans to enter politics in the future. I hope that this doesn’t disappoint anyone but… I don’t think that somebody has to be in public office or you know, in order to help the communities. I think that just because I have my convictions and beliefs, people tend to tag kaagad na I want to be a politician, which is not…” Frankie shared.
“I think that it’s kind of sad to me sometimes because if the standard for that is so low na, na parang I might make a good public official…” Frankie added.
“But you know honestly you would, but I would not encourage you as your mother but for the county, I don’t know…” Sharon quipped.
“I think I could but I don’t think im the best for the job at all…” Frankie said.
“I’ll tell you this though, in the future, if you ever feel that you will be more or most effective in public office then you should consider it. Otherwise, live your life…” Sharon said.
Later on, Frankie reiterated that for her personally, it is something that she doesn’t want to do.
“I just feel like personally it is not what I want to do. I don’t think I would ever want to do it…” Frankie said.
