In an online interview with DZMM TeleRadyo, Tim addressed the issue as he said “I want to assure the public that we followed all the LGU protocols bago kami umakyat from Baguio. Alam po naten na ang Baguio is napaka strict sa kanilang mga protocols and they will not allow anyone na umakyat ng Baguio na positive, lahat ng mga tao bago umakyat ng Baguio kailangan makasecure ng negative na test.”
“We ensured our protocols in place and the, itong mga kasama ko, tong bisita ko na kaibigan ko were all tested negative.” Tim added.
Tim shared that the reason for having the celebration is to promote local tourism as he said “Ang pakay po nun is to promote Baguio as a destination… local tourism…saakin talaga, yun talaga yung, for the past few months I’m discovering a way to discovering and rediscovering yung mga iba’t ibang parte naten sa Pilipinas. Na sana madiscover ng ating mga kababayan dahil yun ang ano naten ngayon.”
Tim also sent a message to the public as he said “It was never my intention to offend anyone. Isa pa po na talagang, it’s never my intention to, I would never do anything na makaka-endanger kahit sinuman. And siyempre… within the, within pag lahat kayo negative, you feel safe with each other. Siguro nagkulang ako na paalalahanin na magsuot ng mask dahil may lumabas na mga litrato at ng mga videos na walang mask. Again, I would never endanger anyone. We are all responsible citizens of this country and all we want to do is to really help restart the economy. We opened the economy and the push for local tourism.”
