Actress and TV host Toni Gonzaga marked another milestone on her career as she celebrated her 20th anniversary since she started in the Showbiz Industry.
In ABS-CBN’s online show titled “I Feel U”, Toni was interviewed TV host Boy Abunda in celebration of her 20th anniversary in showbiz industry. During the interview, Toni opened up on the challenging time that their family experienced as she recalled the time when she laid off in a show when she was still a talent of GMA.
“Makes me sad was year 2000… Year 2000 was the lowest point of our family because that was the time where I was laid off dun sa kaisa-isa kong regular show nung nasa GMA ako, that was helping our family’s income. My Lola died ng August, and then September… yung lola sa daddy side ko, yung lola ko namatay tapos yung lola ko sa mommy side namatay din same year. And that was the year na talagang, wala ang hirap talaga ng buhay.” Toni said.
Toni shared that her mother, mommy Pinty resigned from work and her dad, daddy Bonoy lost in a political bid. Toni also referred that year 2000 is a ‘year of loss’ for them.
“You were fired from Eat Bulaga?” Tito Boy asked Toni.
“No, fired from Bubble Gang. Talent lang ako nuon tito Boy, na fire pa ako dahil nag reformat. Sabe ko ‘talent nalang na fire pa’….” Toni clarified.
