In case the ABS-CBN franchise won’t be renewed, TV5 is willing to extend its support to the media giant. The franchise of ABS-CBN is up for renewal on March 30, 2020 and Prsident Rodrigo Duterte has been very vocal about his objection about the renewal.
TV5 Chairman Manuel V. Pangilian said in an interview that they are willing to extend a helping hand to ABS-CBN by way of renting TV5 airtime called “blocktime agreement.” But Mr. Pangilinan was quick to clarify that no ongoing talks or negotiations is happening between TV5 and ABS-CBN as of yet.
Whether the ABS-CBN franchise will be renewed or not is still a big question because the bill is still lingering in Congress.
