Vice President Leni Robredo shared her opinion in relation to the Manila Bay ‘white sand’ project that has a reported budget allocation of PhP 389 million. Instead of focusing on the beautification of the area, VP Leni would rather have the budget given to the poor families who were left hungry due to the ongoing coronovirus pandemic.
Ang daming naghihirap, gagawin mo yung pag-beautify,” said VP Leni on her weekly radio program.
VP Leni has been advocating that the government should give the poorest families in the country PhP 5,000 each month to help them survive the pandemic. VP Leni said that 80,000 poor families will be benefited if the government decided to give the Manila Bay budget to the poor instead.
