Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto made it clear that in as far as his city is concerned, people who would want to help the poor by setting up their community pantry need not required to get a permit from the city government.
On the contrary, Mayor Vico even encouraged everyone to join hand to help each other and admitted that the government has limited resources.
On Twitter, Mayor Vico posted the following:
“Community Pantries have sprung up in Pasig. We commend the individuals who are helping as they can afford. Government has limited resources, so any effort to help others is very welcome.
Para sa mga nagtatanong, hindi kailangan ng permit. Wala po tayong “Permit to Help”.”
