“We are not in the business of getting paid.” This is what ANC anchor Karmina Constantino told Dr. Joey Montemayor after the later insinuated that ABS-CBN and ANC were paid by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
The confrontation during the interview of Montemayor in relation to his allegations that Microsoft founder Bill Gates donated $15 million to Moreno’s presidential bid.
It turns out that Gates donated Php 15milion to fund the contruction of toilets / sanitation project in Manila.
““it’s all over the papers, but now you’re telling us the sources have told you about this… So, which one should we believe?” asked Karmina.
“Well, if you will just research, you are in the media, you should have known better, unless Isko Moreno paid the ANC and ABS-CBN…” answered Montemayor.
This got the ire of Karmina and she replied back by saying:
“I’m sorry. I’m not gonna pass, Dr. Montemayor. We are not in the business of getting paid. I am personally insulted by that insinuation,” said Karmina.
“This company is not in the business of getting paid.. This journalist that you’re talking to right now has never been, or ever will be paid by anyone to ask or not to ask any question. Let’s move on.” Karmina added.
