WATCH: Eddie Gutierrez emotional as he pays tribute to Susan Roces

Veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez can’t help but be emotional during his eulogy for his long time screen partner, late Multi-awarded actress Susan Roces.

Eddie is one of the celebrities who paid tribute to the late veteran actress as he spoke during her wake that was held at The Heritage Park in Taguig City. In his eulogy, Eddie recalled some of the fond memories of them together.

Eddie also can’t help but be emotional when he recalled their last conversation during Susan’s 80th birthday.

“Nung birthday niya, tinawagan ko siya. Sabi ko, ’80!’ ‘Oo nga, 80 na ako,’ sabi niya. Nag-usap kami almost an hour… Sabi niya, ‘Eddie, wala na yung mga kasama natin. Si Bobby, si Amalia, si Jose Mari, si Liberty, si Lito Legaspi. Tayo na lang dalawa.’ Sabi niya.” Eddie emotionally shared.

Eddie also shared that Susan is proud on how he and his wife, Annabelle Rama raised their children. Later on, during their conversation, Eddie shared that Susan all of a sudden got sad.

“Parang all of a sudden, naging malungkot siya. Nagpaalam na kami. Sabi niya sa akin, ‘Take care.’ Sabi ko, ‘Ikaw rin, take care. Mahal na mahal kita, Susan.’ ‘Ikaw rin,’ sabi niya, ‘Mahal kita.’” Eddie emotionally recalled.

“I miss you. You will always be a part of my life. See you in heaven!” Eddie added.
