Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez had the chance to have a heart to heart talk with her step daughter Leila Alcasid in her recent YouTube vlog where they talked about their relationship while doing their make up.
In her vlog, Regine and Leila shared some of their memorable moments ever since the latter decided to live in the Philippines with her dad after years of staying in Australia with her mom Michelle Van Eimeren.

Leila then mentioned a time when she came home late and shared how she realized that Regine actually cares for her.
Leila said: “There was one time I came home like so late, as in it was like, morning already.”
“She actually approached me. I was in her room, and I don’t wanna talk and then she’s like, ‘I don’t know if I’m crossing a line by saying this but I’m gonna say it because I care.’ And then she started crying. And I remember, she basically said something like I wasn’t really loving myself enough. ‘Coz at that time, I wasn’t.”
“She said that to me and I never had anyone say it to me and then because she was also crying, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, she really cares about me. And it was a defining moment for me because I’ve never forgotten that. It was one of the times when you really felt like a mom.”
