Actress and TV host Toni Gonzaga addressed the persistent accusation that she is being paid for supporting the UniTeam led by presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos and his running mate Inday Sara Duterte.
During the campaign rally at General Trias, Cavite, Toni sang her signature campaign cover song “Roar,” and then addressed the crowd about the ‘bayad’ reports.
“Simula po nung tumayo ako sa entablado kasama ang Uniteam, ang tawag ng lahat, bayad daw po ako. Bayad po ba kayo,” asked Toni.
The crowd chanted “Hindi kami bayad… hindi kami bayad.”
“Alam niyo, kaya po katulad ni BBM, hindi na po natin dapat na pinapatulan ‘yung mga ganyang bagay,” added Toni.
