Fans of the phenomenal star Maine Mendoza and Kapuso ‘pambansang bae’ Alden Richards have been rooting for the two to play the lead roles in the upcoming Filipino adaptation of the Korean television series hit “Descendants of the Sun”.
In a tweet by BBC World News anchor Rico Hizon, AlDub whose love team started out in the noon time “Eat Bulaga” has been the most requested team up to play the roles of Korean Special Forces Captain Yoo Shi Jin originally played by Song Joong-ki and Haesung Hospital surgeon Doctor Kang Mo Yeon played by Song Hye-ko.

GMA has yet to reveal details in the series’ Pinoy adaptation which will air this year.
