Singer Yeng Constantino aired her plea to President Rodrigo Duterte over the issue about ABS-CBN’s franchise which the president has been threatening to shut down in 2020.
In her interview with some members of the press, Yeng gave her message to the president and asked for his consideration over the network’s franchise, mentioning how it has been the source of income of many artists and employees.

Yeng said: “I don’t know what’s right and wrong for you, and ano yung pinaka ugat at puno nito kung bakit po humantong sa ganito. Pero sir, sana po ma-consider niyo din po yung ibang mga artist na nagtatrabaho sa industriyang ito tulad po namin.”
She continued: “Baka lang po, kumakatok lamang po kami sa puso ninyo na baka maaari naman na hindi po maputol yung source of living namin. Yun lang.”
Yeng then shared her plans in case the the network’s franchise renewal will not be approved, saying: “Itutuloy ko nalang yung isa kong pangarap pa eh. Magte-take po ako ng Psychology next year.”
Just recently, Yeng marked her 13th year in the industry after winning in the Kapamilya reality show “Pinoy Dream Academy.”
