After failing several times in different singing competition, Zephanie Dimaranan was finally named as the grand champion in the Kapamilya singing competition “Idol Philippines”.
During the finale episode aired on Sunday night, July 28, the 16-year-old girl from Laguna emerged victorious among other finalists Lucas Garcia and Lance Busa after earning 100 percent of combined votes from viewers and the audience.

For her winning performance, Zephanie proved why she deserve the title after her breathtaking performance of the songs “Maghintay Ka Lamang” and “Pangarap Kong Pangarap Mo” composed by songwriter Jonathan Manalo.
Lucas meanwhile earned the second spot with 70.2 percent of combined votes while Lance earned 41.89 percent of combined votes.
Apart from the grand winner title, Zephanie got to take home a cash prize worth P2,000,000, an all-expense paid trip to Taiwan, a house and lot package, and a recording contract.
It can be remembered that Zephanie also joined in other singing competitions on TV including ‘The Voice Kids’ where Elha Nympha was hailed as winner, and ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ where Jaine Berdin emerged as the winner.
