Host and comedian Vice Ganda was not able to contain his emotions as he recalled his late grandfather during the recent episode of his late night show “Gandang Gabi Vice”.
After touching and seeing his late grandfather’s cane, Vice became emotional as he shared how his grandfather ran away from home after feeling that the host did not seem to have time for him.

He said: “Eto yung nakakapgpalungkot sakin.. Eto talaga naiiyak ako pag naaalala ko. Yan yung nalulungkot ako kasi ang dami kong pagkukulang diyan [grandfather].”
“May isang pagkakataon na narealize niya na, ‘Wala nang panahon si Tutoy [Vice] sa akin,’ sabi niya. Parang ‘Wala na akong relevance, hindi na ako napapansin ni Tutoy.’ Lumayas siya. Bumalik siya ng La Union.
“Sinundo ko yung lolo ko, I had to bring him back home. And I had to make him feel na, ‘Hindi kita nakakalimutan, hindi kita napapabayaan dahil sa trabaho ko. Ginagawa ko ito para sa’yo,” Vice added.
He then descried his grandfather as their family’s cane during times of trial.
