Vickie Rushton who had been one of the top bets in the recently concluded Binibining Pilipinas pageant. However, she fell short from getting a crown as some fans speculated that the mishap during her turn in the question and answer portion affected the results of the pageant.
During her guesting in “Tonight With Boy Abunda,” Vickie explained why she was distracted while answering the question given to her by judge Daniel Padilla, saying that one of the audience stood and made face.

While she said that she has no one to blame but herself for getting distracted, Vickie was given another chance by host Boy Abunda to answer the Binibining Pilipinas question given to her.
The question was: “Why is mental health as important as physical health?”
Vickie who was more relaxed and confident answered: “So, mental health is as important as physical health because it goes hand in hand for our inner being. Growing up, I was bullied and it affected my mental and physical health. And as a woman who’ve been through a lot, I can use it to empower and inspire the people and remind them that self-love is important for us to be productive.”
