Mr. M on rebranding ‘GMA Artist Center’ into ‘Sparkle’: “we want to make it better”

Seasoned starmaker and former Star Magic head Johnny Manahan popularly known as Mr. M expressed his honest thoughts and opinions regarding the rebranding of ‘GMA Artist Center’ into ‘Sparkle’.

In a virtual media conference for GMA Artist Center’s new name’Sparkle’, Mr. M was aked about his initial thoughts regarding the rebranding.

“What were your initial thoughts of the renaming and how hands on were you on the overall execution?” One member of the press asked Mr. M.

“Actually we wanted to rebrand or rename, not really rename, rebrand the artist center and give it a facelift so to speak. Give it new vigor, make it younger and better. It was already good but we want to make it better. And we expect more from the artists such as these. And hopefully with the name change and with the rebranding, will come greater quality of work and more fun.” Mr. M said.

According to Mr. M, the name ‘Sparkle’ came from their consultant for imaging and branding, Lawrence Tan.

“I suggested the rebranding and Lawrence Tan came up with the name ‘Sparkle’. That was a brilliant suggestion so we embraced it right away, ‘Sparkle’,” Mr. M shared.
