Viva releases official statement to answer allegations made by Nadine Lustre’s legal counsel

In line with Nadine Lustre’s statement with regards to her managerial contract with Viva Films, the giant producer released an official statement to answer allegations done by the actress’ legal counsel.

In a tweet made by entertainment reporter Mario Dumaual, he quoted, “VIVA Artists Agency refutes allegations that Nadine Lustre’s managerial contract (ending 2029) is oppressive and unconscionable; on the contrary, the company acted in good faith in the performance of its duty and with Nadine’s welfare and best interest in mind @abscbnnews”

The tweet includes a three-page document about their official side with regards to their talent’s claims. The announcement comes from Reyno Tiu Domingo & Santos Law Offices. It is very clear that they are addressing this to Atty. Lourdes Kapunan’s camp.

It states that although the court of law is the best place to discuss this issue, they simply need to clarify this in public. They mentioned that the main issue is the violation of contract, rather than a talent being taken advantage by its managing company. They also claim that the contract is in no way revocable at any time that she wants it.

Viva claims that both parties benefited as Nadine’s career surmounted through numerous films, TV shows and other publicities. Thus, the management gained profit with this too. They stressed out that Kapunan’s accusation that they have taken advantage of the talent for the longest time; is malicious and unjustified.

To end their piece, they strongly state that they are not maligning and harassing her. This is what the last few statements of the press release, “Neither is Viva interfering with third parties indirectly dealing with Nadine. Rather, Viva is merely seeking to enforce its rights under the law and under the Agreement that Nadine knowingly entered into and benefited from.”
